A coupling system for a lawn maintenance machine having at least one cutting unit, the coupling system comprises: a pivoting member (34) for pivoting the cutting unit around a pivot axis parallel to a traveling direction and substantially coincidental with a point of contact between the cutting and a surface upon which the cutting unit is supported; and, a yoke (16) attached to the pivoting member, the yoke configured for attachment to a motive unit.
