The process comprises the spraying, from the ground, of a vehicle which carries on its surface a quantity of a pesticidal agent for exterminating caterpillars of the processionary moth by means of covering their front part or attack zone, the carrier vehicle being directed individually towards each one of the pockets of processionary moths/caterpillars which are to be treated at a speed which is sufficient for its penetration into the walls thereof, the vehicle consisting of a metallic body which has a covering of pesticidal agent in its impact face. <IMAGE>
