The easy-entry function is functionally coupled to the headrest retraction and the position of the headrest during the easy-entry operation is identical to the headrest position with the fully raised seat. A two-arm lever (12) pivoted round the frame-fixed axis (11) has hook-in pin (21) at one end for a Bowden cable (13) leading to the headrest (headrest frame bars 14). The far end of this lever (12) is rotatably hinged to one end of a second lever (18) as hinged in turn at its far end to the floor assembly (4). To gain access to the rear seat, the backrest is first folded forward so the seat adjuster rear rods swing clockwise thus placing the headrest in the same position as at highest seat setting.
