Isolating and purifying nucleic acid

A process for isolating and purifying nucleic acids is new, and comprises lysing a material containing nucleic acids, incubating the lysate with a mineral support, transferring the support to a membrane whose pore size is greater than the particle size of the support, and separating nucleic acids from the support by elution, where the support particles remain on the membrane.
