Improvements in the subject matter of patent of invention no. 9600016 for "Multipurpose equipment and process for the bulk deacidification, deinfestation and disinfection of documents and books". The equipment comprises an autoclave and as auxiliary components a compressor, a cooling system, vacuum pumps, all mounted on the corresponding bench, the autoclave being connected to a freon cylinder and metering tank and a return pipe with a filter, within which are placed the books requiring treatment, with a series of chemical and physical changes taking place in the substrate of the pages therein through a process which comprises the stages of dehydration, impregnation with the deacidifing solution, solvent recovery, determination of the distribution of magnesium in the pages, deinfestation and disinfection, and the preparation of carbonated magnesium alkoxyalkoxides. <IMAGE>
