<p>The invention relates to an improved method for expressing proteins through culture of transformed eukaryotic cells on an industrial scale. In particular, the present invention relates to increasing the yield of biological products produced by eukaryotic cells through arresting growth in order to devote more nutrients and energy to the synthesis of heterologous proteins, and less to the synthesis of biomass. The improved method comprises adding a (cyclic)-nucleotide-manipulating agent, e.g. a cAMP-elevating agent, to the production medium.</p> |
