The invention concerns a display assembly comprising two superposed display devices, respectively an upper (24) and a lower (26) one, characterised in that the upper display device (24) comprises a double structure formed of a display cell (28) disposed above an optical valve (30), said double structure being arranged such that said cell (28) and said valve (30) are transparent in a first state such that the lower display device (26) is visible, and the cell (28) displays an information and the valve (30) is opaque and masks at least partially the lower display (26) device in a second state, with control means supplying a control voltage to the cell (28) and to the valve (30) to cause them to move from the first state to the second state and vice-versa.
