Bicycle pedals with alternating motion. It consists of a mechanism which, when fitted to the pedal cranks of a normal bicycle, converts the rotary motion of the pedals into alternating or reciprocating motion, generating continuous motion that eliminates dead points, and, at these points (when the crank is vertical), by exerting force with the two arms at + 70 degree, in such a way that a single pedal stroke covers 250 degree instead of the 180 degree described by conventional pedalling. Forming two arcs of different size/extent, the traction stroke from the upper point to the lower is longer and the return stroke from the lower point to the upper is shorter. It is possible to obtain a wide range of different movements of the pedal in order to be able to combine a longer stroke with less force, depending on the dimensions of its components and the synchronisation. <IMAGE>
