<p>In a display device, for example a PALC (plasma-addressed liquid crystal) display device, the excitation electrodes are provided with a sputter-resistant layer which only partly covers the surface of the excitation electrodes. The layer has small openings, causing the conductance of the layer to be increased and the ignition and sustain voltage to be reduced, thus saving energy.</p> |
