The invention relates to a rechargeable electric power supply comprising several series-connected secondary elements. A charging connection (20) is allocated to each secondary element (10, 12,14,16). Said connection comprises a rectifier (22) with output terminals (26,28) connected to the poles (+,-) of a secondary element (10,12, 14,16), and an electrical isolation device (24) transmitting an alternative current with output terminals connected to the input terminals (32,34, 36) of the rectifier (22) whereby the input terminals (34) of said electrical isolation device are connected to an alternating current source (24).
