<p>The aim of the presented invention is to provide a concept for a measuring device by which it would be possible - taking into account different features of physiques as well as motor capabilities of people - to determine the anthropometric dimensions of the human thorax with adequate precision and objectively. This should be at least so accurate that based on the established data it would be possible to define anticipated, optimal physiological or physical capabilities of humans and to compare them with those, which can normally be determined with the help of the currently known devices. Following the given preconditions, the measuring device for determining the anthropometric dimensions of the human thorax consists of an application assembly (1) and at least one measuring device (330, 340, 350), while on the supporting and guiding frame (2) there are measuring sub-assemblies (3, 3', 4) movable along the frame and each time flexibly positioned in a corresponding position, just above the seat adapter assembly (1), including a vertex measuring assembly (5) as well as corresponding supports (6, 7, 8).</p> |
