The invention refers to a coherent electromagnetic radiation generator operating in the infrared to X-ray range. When operating as an amplifier, it uses a betatron as source of relative electrons, which is made up of a magnetic yoke [1], an acceleration chamber [2] and an electron injector [3], an electronic device [4] for moving the electron beam to a magnetic shunt [6], a focusing lens [7] which maintains the cylindrical symmetry of the electron beam && and is necessary in order to ensure the quality parameters of the electron at the entrance of a magnetostatic undulator [8], that has an interaction chamber [9] on its axis, in between the electron beam and an external radiation emitted by a laser [14] and guided by means of some mirrors [13], a deflector electromagnet [1] and an absorber [11]. The assembly can also function as an oscillator, using a resonator cavity [12] even in the absence of the laser [14] and of the mirrors [13]. The generator can produce three radiation beams: coherent electromagnetic radiation [Rc], high energy braking radiation [X] and electron beams [e->].
