Artificial legs are moved using hydraulic cylinders (11,12) linked to the leg parts by articulated joints. At the hip joints the two upper cylinders are secured to the top part (9) of the walking aid and the cylinder pistons are secured to the thigh-bone parts. Further hydraulic cylinders (13,14) are secured to the thigh-bone parts and their cylinders to the lower leg parts to form articulated knee joints. |
