<p>The device is designed to be built into a squirrel-cageasynchronous motor guaranteeing quick braking of the drivingmechanism in case of switching off. It is universal for all typesof short-circuited rotors, has simple design and safe operation ina wide range of supply voltages. Wedge-like projections (12) arefabricated around the whole of the disk-like part (10) of thearmature (4) which enter freely into matching cut-outs on thefront fore cylindrical bushing of non-magnetic materialfix-pressed to the shaft. The required force for the attractionand retention of the armature (4) to the rotor is attained at theexpense of the reduced yoke of the rotor in its respective zoneand by adequate sizing of the bushing-like part (11) of armature(4) in comparison with its outer (Dk) and inner (dk) diameter.
