<p>The method can be used in the radar engineering, for examplein receiving weather forecast information, for hailstormprotection of for air traffic control. It makes use of the Sun asa common source of noise signal in the radio range. By the methodone radar station (RS) is selected as reference one, and the noisesignal from the Sun's disc measured by all RSs in one and the sametime interval is used as a common source of a signal. For each RSthe noise power measured is averaged and the coefficient ofNi=p2si/p2se is calculated, where Pse and Psi are the averagevalues of the reference and of all the other RSs, respectively.Potentials C of every RS are multiplied by coefficient Ni. Afterthe computation of the RS reflecting capacity of themeteorological object based on the accepted power the same valueis produced which would have been produced in the measurement andcalculation of the RS reflectability of the object by thereference RS.</p> |
