The invention relates to a low frequency damper, used by airplanes provided with unassisted flight commands and by ships in auxiliary installations which require silent operating conditions. The low frequency damper consists of a hydrostatic module [A] comprising a piston [B] which is sliding in a cylinder [1]. The piston [B] comprises two pieces [8 and 9], one containing a subassembly filled with hydraulic liquid and another is a storage recipient [C] consisting of a piston [18] limited axially by a sleeve [20] and a spring [21], each equipped with two overpressure valves [D] for each direction of operation . On the hydrostatic module [A] a concentric mechanical module [F] is mounted, comprising several cups [27, 28, and 29], between the cups [27 and 28] being a lubricating pocket [j] and in the glass [29] there is another lubricating pocket [i].
