1. The method of firing anode furnaces for fire refining of copper consists in the combustion of fuel inside the furnace. Unique characteristics: The following mixture is used as the fuel: a mixture of air and low-sulphur oil, with less than 1 percent of sulphur by mass, preferably below 0.4 percent of sulphur by mass, where the oil-to-air ratio is from 1:10 up to 1:40. The mixture is injected with nozzles, immersed to the depth of at least 0.1 m below the surface of liquid copper. It is done during the phases of the process, when reduction does not occur.
