PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting transfer velocity of stock to be rolled capable of executing rolling-down motion of a reduction press and a rolling motion of a roling mill on the down stream side at the same time. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with velocity adjusting rolls 4, 5 to adjust a transfer velocity of a rolling stock 1 prepared at a distance required for bending the roll stock disposed between the reduction press 2 and the rolling mill 3, with a passing length measuring device installed at the velocity adjusting rolls 4, 5 or the vicinity to measure the passing length of a passing stock to be rolled, and with a control unit 11 to adjust the velocity adjusting rolls 4, 5 by the measured value of the passing length measuring device as well as to control the working time of the reduction press 2.
