PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contamination preventing auxiliary cap for washing and a drain tank for washing which enable washing of a water supply pipeline system of a therapeutic apparatus without contaminating an instrument for treatment such as handpiece nor a joint part of a flexible tube. SOLUTION: A contamination preventing auxiliary cap 1A for washing is so arranged to bore a drain port 2 communicating with a through hole 14 in an outer circumferential wall 10 of a tubular body 1 which has a through hole 14 penetrating into a joint inserting/fitting hole 12 from a tip opening 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof. Inner circumferential walls 14b and 14c are so formed to make a water supply pipeline port 61a formed at a joint part 6 of a flexible tube D1 communicate watertight with the drain port 2 when the joint part 6 is inserted into the inserting/fitting port 12.
