PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high strength polybenzoxazole(PBO) film excellent in surface smoothness and good in traveling. SOLUTION: This polybenzazole film is the oriented polybenzazole film consisting essentially of repeating units comprising repeating unit (a) and/or repeating unit (b) and or repeating unit (c) and/or repeating unit (d), and having 50-150 nm three dimensionally averaged surface roughness of the film and <=10/mm<2> number of coarse protrusion with >=1μm largeness. |
