<p>The rigid closure and operating section (4) pivots (29, 30) on the base section (3) for opening in normal use. An intermediate tear strip (5) intervenes between the sections (3, 4), and is joined to each by a tamper-evident bridging sections. The opening is opposite the intermediate tear strip, with the pivots centrally between them. Limited pivoting of the closure allows contents to be dispensed. The bridging sections are sufficiently weak for tearing, but adequate to resist mounting stresses. Independent claims are included for: one-piece injection molding of the cap; and the appropriate injection molding equipment. Preferred features: Whilst having thin sections, the tear section is sufficiently rigid for manipulation and tearing. It and its connections, have various possible configurations which are detailed. Base and closure fit together. The closure is coplanar with the edges of the base, when closed. Further details and variants based on the foregoing principles are described.</p> |
