<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy rapid coating and tight binding by forming a circular fiber body having swellability used as a substitute for a tourniquet, etc., in a ring or tube shape having plural different layers and forming the outer layer with a low elasticity material and the innermost layer with a high swellability material. SOLUTION: The circular fiber body 1 is entirely formed in a tube shape having a two-layered structure. The inner layer 11 is formed frame a high swellability material having good water absorbency and hygroscopicity so that a large volume change is ensured. The outer layer 21 is disposed around the inner layer 11 and has slight elasticity. If the inner layer 11 absorbs water or moisture, its volume increases but the outer layer 21 elongates hardly, therefore the inner layer 11 expands inward and its inside diameter decreases. When the circular fiber body 1 is used as a substitute for a tourniquet, a part to be subjected to arrest of a hemorrhage is wound with the fiber body 1 and the inner layer 11 is expanded in a short time by impregnating water. The part can be bound tight.</p> |
