PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyethylene terephthalate resin composition with an improved rate of crystallization by rendering the crystallization temperature lowered without reducing clarity. SOLUTION: Particulates of a polyethylene terephthalate after melt polycondensation which is composed of dicarboxylic acid units having terephthalic acid or an alkyl ester thereof as the major component and glycol units having ethylene glycol as the major component and has an average weight of 12-50 mg/particulate are brought into contact with a member composed of a crystalline thermoplastic resin of a different type therefrom under fluidizing conditions to incorporate trace amounts of the crystalline thermoplastic resin thereinto and subsequently, melt kneaded and formed into a polyethylene terephthalate resin composition. |
