PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject binder excellent in resistance to retort whitening and post-laminating processability. SOLUTION: This printing ink binder for laminated cans contains a polyesterurethaneurea resin which is prepared by reaction between a polyester polyol, an organic dissocyanate and chain extender, wherein acid components derived from the polyester polyol are such that the weight ratio of aromatic discarboxylic acid (s) such as terephthalic acid to aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (s) is (30:70) to (100:0) and urea linkage concentration is 0.05-0.8 mmol/g based on the solid content of the resin.
