<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motive power steering device capable of optimum power assist by outputting specified output tprque in accordance with a vehicle travelling state to a steering output shaft. SOLUTION: Brushes 76, 78 are provided on a motor part furnished on a motive power steering device, and the brush 78 is held on a holding part 60 of a gear 52 for movement and is free to move. The gear 52 for movement is revolved by a control motor 84 to work in accordance with car speed, etc., and consequently, a contact state of the brush to an armature 36 is changed. In the case when the brush 78 is revolved, practical effective length (effective conductor number) of a coil of the armature 36 is changed, and driving force of the motor part is changed. Consequently, it is possible to carry out optimum power assist by outputting specified output torque in accordance with a vehicle travelling state to a steering output shaft by revolving the brush 78 in accordance with the vehicle travelling state.</p> |
