PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise an ink absorptive ability, water resistivity, and anti-beading property by forming an ink receptor layer furnished on the support body of a medium to be recorded from a block copolymer of a water soluble monomer and nonwater soluble monomer. SOLUTION: A medium to be recorded used for an ink jet recording medium include an ink receptor layer on a support body; however, the ink receptor layer is formed of a water soluble monomer and a nonwater soluble monomer. The water soluble monomer is a matter capable of forming a uniform solution being about 10 wt.% or more at an ordinary temperature and pressure, and although not being limited in particular, a substance is given having, e.g. a hydrophilic group such as a hydroxyl group and a sulfinic acid group and including one or more reactive double bonds in one molecule. While, the nonwater soluble monomer includes one or more reactive double bonds in one molecular, and is not capable of forming a solution having a density of about 10 wt.% or more at an ordinary temperature and pressure, for which methyl (meth)acrylic acid or the like is given for example. |
