<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of an image and to prevent soil with toner scattering y increasing the developer holding capacity or increasing the diameter of a developing roller through increasing the occupied space of a developing device next to a paper feeding unit of a manual paper feeding device. SOLUTION: A link 68 is laid between manual feeding tray 27 and a unit frame 66, the unit frame 66 is rotated by being interlocked with the opening and closing operation of the manual inserting tray 27, a pickup roller 28a is extended to the taking out position in releasing of the manual feeding tray 27, the pickup roller 28a is retreated to the position not to interfere with the manual feeding tray in closing of the manual feeding tray 27, and therefore, the occupied area in a device main body of a paper feeding unit 28 is decreased, and the occupied space of a developing device 2 is increased.</p> |
