PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a retarded solidifying material capable of making the control of the setting retardation time consistent with the deterrence of bleeding at the limit for providing an essential compressive strength after the solidification and to provide a method for constructing a replaced solidified wall by which a time required for a core material arranging step can be ensured for a long period. SOLUTION: This retarded solidifying material with a controlled setting starting time is obtained by kneading kneading water A prepared by prekneading water with bentonite and a water-soluble polymer with a cement and a retarder. The method for constructing a replaced solidified wall comprises a stabilizing liquid drilling step for carrying out the drilling with a stabilizing liquid (a bentonite-based stabilizing liquid 1a), a solidifying material replacing step for replacing the stabilizing liquid (the bentonite-based stabilizing liquid 1a) with the resultant retarded solidifying material (the retarded solidifying material 2) after the stabilizing liquid drilling step and a core material arranging step for arranging a core material (an H section 4) in the solidifying material (the retarded solidifying material 2) after the solidifying material replacing step.
