PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial sewer pipe which can provide a uniform and stable antibacterial effect without deteriorating the concrete color of the sewer pipe by adding a metallic antibacterial agent and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The corrosion of a sewer pipe can be prevented since sulfur oxidizing bacteria in sewage are killed by the metal-substituted apatite hydroxide of the sewer pipe. Also, since the metal-substituted apatite hydroxide is white in color, the product value of the sewer pipe in terms of appearance can be made similar to general sewer pipes. Further, in concrete kneaded with the metal-substituted apatite hydroxide, the specific gravity of the metal- substituted apatite hydroxide is lighter than that of metal powder added as a conventional antibacterial agent, and hence an antibacterial agent is easily distributed into an entire slurry. Therefore, a uniform and stable antibacterial effect can be obtained. |
