PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester film having good heat resistance and mechanical characteristics and scarcely having unevenness of thickness and excellent in transfer property of mold and appearance of molded products. SOLUTION: This polyester film is composed of (A) an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component, (B) a glycol component and (C) a tri- or polyfunctional polycarboxylic acid component and/or a tri- or polyhydric alcohol component. The polyester film is formed by using a polyester resin having >=3,000 poise melting viscosity measured at 270 deg.C and 1,200 (l/sec) shear rate and >=1.0 dl/g intrinsic viscosity [η].
