PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polymer film useful for an optical sensor, an electroluminescent element, a photoconductor, a space modulation element, a thin-film transistor, a photorefractive element or the like by including a specific liquid crystalline compound in an organic polymeric matrix. SOLUTION: This liquid crystalline charge transport material-dispersed type polymer film is obtained by including at least one of a liquid crystalline compound having charge transport properties and manifesting a smectic phase in an organic polymeric matrix. The liquid crystalline compound is preferably present continuously in the thickness direction of the film in the polymeric matrix. The liquid crystalline compound has preferably >=1×10<-5> cm2 /vs electron mobility, >=1×10<-5> cm2 /vs positive hole mobility and further a core of a (6πelectron system aromatic ring)1 , a (10πelectron system aromatic ring)m or a (14πelectron system aromatic ring)n [(1)+(m)+(n)] is 1-4; (1), (m) and (n) are each 0-4}.
