PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cutter roller provided with plural cutting blades each of which is made of e.g. a cemented carbide and fitted to a main body of the cutter roller, and the wear of which is hardly caused even when they are rotated at a >=400 m/min high speed. SOLUTION: In this cutter roller, each of cutting blades 11 has dimensions of a 1.5 mm thickness, a 14 mm width (height) and a 250 mm length and consists of a cutting edge 11a formed from a cemented carbide having a Vickers hardness (HV) of 1,600 and a thermal expansion coefficient of 57×10<-7> in the temp. range of 25 to 200 deg.C and a base body 11b formed from a 42% Ni steel having a Vickers hardness (HV) of 200 and a thermal expansion coefficient of 45×10<-7> in the temp. range of 30 to 300 deg.C. Also, each of the both surfaces of the base body 11b is partly provided with a shock-absorbing member 16 which consists of urethane rubber having a 70 deg. hardness and is stuck on the surface.
