PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyarylene sulfide not only excellent in mechanical strengths such as a tensile strength, a flexural strength and an impact strength, but also capable of being molded by various molding methods because the polyarylene sulfide causes extremely small amount of burr when molding, and is excellent in fluidity when molding and further to provide a production method thereof. SOLUTION: This polyarylene sulfide is the one including the polyarylene sulfide having amino group at the terminal, having the molar ratio of the terminal amino group to benzene ring regulated so as to be (0.001-0.1)/(0.9-0.999) and 1.05-1.50 N-value of a branching coefficient calculated from the relation between the melt viscosity η of the resin and the shear rate 7. The resin is produced by synthesizing a polyarylene sulfide oligomer and further carrying out the polymerization reaction by adding an amination agent and a branching agent. |
