PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize magnetic properties required to a bias material for a magnetic marker and to provide a magnetic marker using the bias material. SOLUTION: This magnetic marker bias material 1 is the one having a structure in which a Cu base nonmagnetic body and a nonmagnetic compd. are dispersed into a matrix essentially consisting of Fe, and the Cu base nonmagnetic body preferably contains 3 to 25 wt.% Cu. Moreover, the nonmagnetic compd. is preferably composed of metallic carbide, by which high residual magnetic flux density, a high remanence ratio in a B-H curve, steepness and coercive force required for a bias material can properly be regulated. Moreover, by combining the magnetic marker bias material 1 and a magnetostriction element 3 vibrating in a magnetostrictive way, it can be made a magnetic marker. |
