AQUEOUS ANTIFOULING RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous antifouling composition for controlling the elution rate of an antifouling component from a coated film and exhibiting antifouling properties for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This aqueous antifouling composition comprises (A) an aqueous resin emulsion as a binder having antifouling properties obtained by dispersing at least one selected from (a) resins having an intramolecular and/or an intermolecular metal carboxylate structure so as to make the equivalent ratio of a carboxyl group in a base material resin having 10-300 mgKOH/g acid value to a divalent metal of 0.1-5 into water by using (b) an emulsifying agent.
