PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove other foreign matter such as scum in addition to iron powder in coolant oil in the circulation route for the coolant oil of a cold rolling mill. SOLUTION: A filter 9 is provided in a filtration tank 8 which is provided on the circulation route 5 for the coolant oil of the cold rolling mill 1, a scum removing device 14 and roundabout route 15 which is connected to the filtration tank 8 from the scum removing device 14 are provided above the filter 9 and a scum recovery tank 19 and plural stage iron powder separating devices 25A-25D for which centrifugal force is utilized are provided in this order from the upstream side on the roundabout route 15. By removing the scum suspending in the coolant oil with the scum removing device 14 and removing the iron powder in the coolant oil with the iron powder removing devices 25A-25D, the load on the filter 9 is reduced and the processing capacity of coolant oil is improved.
