The invention concerns the use in a pharmaceutical composition to be administered through the nose, of a hydrophilic particle whether or not bearing ionic ligands and optionally coated with a layer of amphiphilic compounds, having a size ranging between about 20 and 200 nm and advantageously between 50 and 100 nm to ensure and/or enhance the passage of an active agent administered through the nose up to the central nervous system. The invention also concerns pharmaceutical compositions to be administered through the nose of active agents to be delivered to the central nervous system, and their preparation method.
