FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method relates to restoration, repair or strengthening of disrepaired supporting parts of span structures. According to method, short double-cantilever main beams of supporting strengthening unit are installed on bed made of concrete or cement mortar and arranged on supporting girders of building. Floating members during erection are brought in under span structures so that strengthening components are in contact with adjoining structures. Required clearance is provided between contacting surfaces of cantilevers of main beams and cross-members before their fixing. Zone of anchoring of reinforcement in span structures is compressed by main beams using drawing rod for purpose. By screwing nuts of fastening bolts with tension, cantilevers of main beams come in contact with cross-members, thus bringing in operation components of strengthening supporting unit. Application of aforesaid method improves quality, reliability, safety, economic efficiency of strengthening supporting unit in span structures. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 20 cl, 22 dwg
