The espagnolette bolt (22) is used on a door with a lock embedded in the rebate. The lock can be connected to the lock so that it can be activated by it. It has a housing (24) with a spring lock (26) which rotates around an axis activated by the lock. It has a driving pin (38a) and a cam mounted so that it rotates in the housing. The cam has notches (34) into which the pin fits and the cam is coupled to two drives which drive cam rods which move in opposite directions to each other. If there is one driving pin the lock is activated in two turns of the key; if there are two driving pins the lock is activated with one turn of the key.
