The steering column lock (10) consists of a case (22), which contains the locking mechanism (14), which consists of a mobile element (18), which is displaced in translation, from the rear, towards the front, from a position of rest, in which the steering is released and an active position, where the steering is locked. The casing consists of at least one shell (24), which is fixed in a manner, such that it can be removed, to allow access to the steering lock. The shell is fitted with part (36) of a lock, which cooperates with the mobile element (18), of the steering lock mechanism, when it is in its active position to prevent removal of the shell, when the steering lock is activated. |
