The pump unit (1) includes a pump (3) having a rotor (7) with a boring (9) for non-positive fitting of the drive shaft (11) of the drive unit (43) inside a pump casing (13). The pump casing has a first pot-shaped part (15) and a second part (17) with a through boring (19). The second casing part has a centering aid (21) to pre-center the drive shaft for assembly with it. The drive shaft engages non-positively with the rotor boring.
