The retractable visor has an edge stop (4) which engages with a corresponding stop (10) on the fixed flap (2) to prevent the mobile flap (5) from being completely removed. A flexible element (3) is fixed in the base of the frame which is thicker than the upper part (9) and this acts to brake and hold the mobile flap in any selected position. A cutout allows the mobile flap to be pulled downwards or towards the right hand side. In all positions the mobile flap is held between the flexible material and the fixed flap.
