The composite extrusion is made from two separate extrusions (101, 102), e.g. of metal or plastics, shaped with projecting edges (GC) and grooves (GA) which allow them to be joined by sliding the extrusions together lengthwise. The assembled extrusions form a cavity for a seal (201) on glazing (200) and have a channel (105) for a seal strip (106).
