A method of treating and a composition for treating erectile dysfunction in a male patient or female sexual arousal dysfunction, comprising the step of administering to the patient a unit dose of a formulation comprising an effective amount of a prostaglandin, namely prostaglandin E1, prostaglandin E2, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts or derivatives thereof, wherein the prostaglandin is formulated with a small amount of prostaglandin F alpha 2 together with a pharmaceutically acceptable delivery medium and/or a lubricant. The method also contemplates PGE2 with phentolamine mesylate, with or without PGF2 alpha . |
