Steering axle with hydrostatic steering

The steering axle has a first double-action hydraulic cylinder (1), connected in its central region to an axle bridge casing (2), and via tie bars (3) at both ends to link casings (4, 5). There is also a second double-action hydraulic cylinder (6) on one side of the axle. This acts simultaneously with the first one, providing twin-circuit steering. The second cylinder is connected at one end via a ball joint (7) to one of the link casings, and at the other end to the axle bridge casing.
