The ultrasound transducer has a dished housing (1) with an annular housing wall and a membrane base (2), provided with a piezoelement (3) with associated lead wires (4,6) on its inside. The outside of the housing is enclosed by an elastic ring for damping transmission of vibration and its top is closed by a stopper (8), which fixes the lead wires in position.
