The invention concerns an injector comprising a nozzle pierced with at least one fuel outlet orifice (7) towards an engine combustion chamber. A ceramic coating (14) is deposited on the nozzle outer surface, preferably in a break (12) defining a recess in said outer surface, at least around and immediately downstream of the outlet orifice (7), relative to the fuel passage direction. The invention is applicable to fuel injectors with anti-scale ceramic coating for internal combustion engines with controlled ignition and direct injection.
