The vehicle axle carrying structure, particularly for a front axle, has at least one tubular structural element (6). The induction air flow for the vehicle engine is taken at least in sectors through the tubular structural element, in which there are air passage apertures (7a, 7b) for this purpose. Induction air flow from a charging element may be taken through the tubular structural element to a charging air cooler. The tubular element itself can have a charging air cooling function.
