<p>The present invention describes polyesters specifically derived from 1-ethyl-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (EMPD) and the coatings derived from such polyesters. It has been found that polyester resins based on 1-ethyl-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (EMPD) meets the basic Tg (glass transition temperature) requirement for powder coatings and can be formulated into thermosetting powder coatings with excellent appearence.</p> |
