Production of fluorine-containing graft copolymer involves copolymerizing a mixture of fluorinated monomers and propylene in the presence of a saturated iodine-containing compound or an iodine- and bromine-containing compound and graft copolymerizing with tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and a polyfluorovinyl ether (PFVE). Production of fluorine-containing graft copolymer comprises: (i) copolymerizing a mixture of monomers from fluorinated monomers and propylene in the presence of a saturated iodine-containing compound of formula (I) or an iodine- and bromine-containing compound of formula (II); and (ii) graft copolymerizing with tetrafluoroethylene and a polyfluorovinyl ether of formula (III): RIn (I) InBrmR (II) CF2=CFOCX2(CF2)pY (III) R = (chloro)fluorohydrocarbon or (chloro)hydrocarbon; X and Y = H or F; m and n = 1 or 2; p = 0-3; An Independent claim is included for the obtained polymer and a composition comprising the copolymer and an organic peroxide.
